The 13th EANS Congress follows on from the successful meetings in Lisbon (2003), Copenhagen (1999) and Berlin (1995). EANS membership is not restricted to Western Europe but extends to the boundaries of the EU and beyond, including countries such as Turkey, Israel and the Baltic States. Held every four years, this is the major event on the calendar for European neurosurgical surgeons, but also attracts delegates from all continents, providing a unique opportunity to learn of the latest developments in this rapidly changing and expanding field.
This year the meeting will be held jointly with the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. This will strengthen the meeting in many ways and we look forward to welcoming all colleagues from North America and hope they enjoy their visit to Glasgow.
A comprehensive programme will provide a state of the art review of neurosurgery reflecting scientific progress and technical advances in the specialty.
The Congress will be held at the SECC in the centre of Glasgow on the banks of the River Clyde, a mere 30 minute drive from the beautiful Loch Lomond and wonderful scenic countryside. The combined scientific and social programme for participants and accompanying persons should provide an outstanding combination of educational and cultural entertainment and the opportunity to make new friends and renew old acquaintances from all over the world.
We look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow in 2007.
